In article <70tntl$ftl$1@news.bctel.net>, "Thor" <thor@echidna.net> writes: >There are 2 main ways that systems use multiple CPUs to speed query >performance. I'm curious how a programmer can help the data paths be well understood. Or, is this just a matter of using (precompiled) stored procedures? Also, this doesn't really make it clear to me whether a single query is spread over processors. Will that happen based upon the data affinity? That is, will semijoins be done on the processor to which the data is bound, with the results combined once those are done? Thanks... Andrew
