Re: How to make both 'onipcshm' and 'onsoctcp' working ?
Hi!
Could you post the lines from your online log file. May they will help
to find out what is going on.
For now, check again your configuration files, they should be as follow:
onconfig:
DBSERVERNAME ss10
DBSERVERALIASES ss10t
NETTYPE ipcshm,,,CPU
NETTYPE soctcp,,,NET
sqlhosts:
ss10 onipcshm ss10 olshm0
ss10t onsoctcp ss10 oltcp0
and services:
oltcp0 1499/tcp # Informix tcp
Additional checks:
1. Try telneting to the oltcp0 port, i.e.:
telnet ssl0 oltcp0
There shouldn't be any error like "oltcp0: bad port number"
2. Check no other programs are using the 1499/tcp port now. It
shouldn't
hapen as you can bring the Informix server on-line using soctcp
protocol,
but I'd check it again.
