5.01 STAR and NET Slower than 4.1???

INFORMIX CLIENT-SERVER GURUS.......... Help !!!!! Recently we upgraded a great number of our Informix database servers with the latest available Informix 5.01 engines (i.e ON-LINE, SE, STAR, INET etc) and products. Version 4.10.UE1 to Version 5.01.UD2 on SCO UNIX Version 4.10.UE1 to Version 5.01.UUD1 on CLIX (a brand of UNIX) The problem simply stated is that Informix STAR and Net seems a great deal SLOWER. For example... with ISQL I simply connect through STAR or NET to a database on another machine, generate a form for any single table, run the form, query up a few records and hit the "N" for next. On version 4.1 the next record would pop in in 1/10 of a second. Now on Version 5.01 when I press "N" for next the next record takes 1.5 seconds to show up. It seems like some kind of timing problem but I can not seem to point a finger at the source. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou... Thomas K. McLean ......... tkmclean@ingr.com
