Alec You may want to look at functions/php3_ifx.h to see how the sqltypes.h and locator.h files are called. They should be called as EXEC SQL include sqltypes; and EXEC SQL include locator; The files are in $INFORMIXDIR/incl/esql. I have a small writeup at http://www.geocities.com/sujitpal/artli007.html which talks about the problems I faced when installing PHP with Apache and Informix, but I did not have your problem, so it may not be much help. Which Informix products do you have installed? It would appear that you do not have ClientSDK or ESQL/C installed, just the database server. Right now I just have the database server installed. I cannot find the ClientSDK or ESQL/C for linux. This development server is running linux, and the production is running solaris. I would think these products would be avaliable for linux also.
