RE: Off Topic: Re: Informix Job Posting - UK Only

The only reason we still have a SAP oracle instance is because we don't resources to make the jump to informix. Our main SAP database is informix, and boss agrees moving from oracle to informix makes plenty of sense.... money-wise, and DBA-wise. I will keep pushing... (so hey... any ibm'ers looking to volunteer for this?...) Considering it takes more oracle people to do the job, off-shoring makes sense... 2 for the price of 1?... Both oracle and ibm should pay attention to microsoft....sqlserver is pretty impressive, the only thing holding it back is it's operating system. Still haven't heard anything! Are there any new customers worth mentioning? By the way I heard the buzz on the floor at the Oracle conference this week was that most of the people attending were from India. Probably will be more beneficial next conference to just host it in India to help all those companies doing the outsourcing save even more money by not having it in one of the most expensive towns on the planet, San Francisco. ============================================================ The information contained in this message may be privileged and confidential and protected from disclosure.
