UNIX has had 20 years to mature, NT wants to do this overnight and you have to pay the price for their mistakes. If you can live with the problems go for it. But NT is not cheap. 400+ US$ for the workstation OS. Plus it doesn't come with a mail package. IIS is way to buggy and a major security hole.
