Is anyone actually using DRDA Gateways?

The company I work for has an IBM AS/400 software product, so I'm very familiar with the AS/400 and it's database (niark, niark). We've recently run across a situation where our potential client has a farm of AS/400's and they've invested an obscene amount of money (>many million) in them to try to modify the software (RPG/400) to do the job for them. You know the story... They have *so* much invested, that they can't pull the plug from the beast. We need to get our system in and interface it to some of their existing AS/400 applications. Maybe we can teach them the new way... I'm interested in hearing the 'hands-on' experience from someone using this product.
