Hi guys,
restoring a Level-0-archive using ontape -r and after that restoring
logical logs using ontape -l works without any problem.
Now, I have to restore a database-state, given after certain logical log.
Is it possible, to restore a Level-0-archive (which includes the logical log
144) and after that restore the logical logs 145 thru 156 (e.g.) , but not
145 thru 250 ?
Thanks for your answers!
Greetings
Markus
Try onbar -r -n 156

Using ontape? Only if the logical logs are on/in separate tapes/files. The
logical log restore phase will restore any and all log files it finds in a log
archive file/tape. So if you have a file with logs 145-156 and another with
logs 157-250 or individual log backup files containing one log each then the
answer is yes, otherwise no.
Onbar can perform a point-in-time restore, ie restore to 2003-10-07 12:45:56,
but ontape cannot.

Sorry, I thought you were using onbar. Art is right about ontape.
