16bit application is not running with IDS for Linux

Hello!
When I try to connect to Informix Server on Linux from 16bit
application running on Win95 with 16bit Informix CLI and enter
INCORRECT name or password, Informix "freezes". I can't make any
connection to IDS and must kill oninit process and recovery server.
The same situation occurs when I use login demo from 16bit CLI and
demo database on Linux, so the problem is not in the application.
32bit applications run without problems.
My configuration:
client : Win95, 16bit CLI, 32bit CLI, 16bit application, tcpip
server:RedHat5.2 with Informix patches, IDS 7.3, onsoctcp
Here is listing of oninit processes on my server:
before incorrect login
6490 ? S 0:02 oninit -s
6491 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6492 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6493 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6494 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6495 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6496 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6497 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6498 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6499 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6500 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
after incorrect login
6490 ? R 14:20 oninit -s
6491 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6492 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6493 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6494 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6495 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6496 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6497 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6498 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6499 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
6500 ? S 0:00 oninit -s
Thank you for your help.

Hi Jan,
this is a known bug, at least in some versions of 7.3,
which we hit ourselves with 7.30.UC2 on Solaris.
I don't know in which version it should be fixed, but there is
a recommended workaround that helped us:
Run the pollthread in a NET-VP instead of CPU-VP. You can do this
by the NETTYPE-Parameter in onconfig:
NETTYPE your_protocol,your_no_of_pollthreads,your_no_of_users,NET
or
with onmonitor Parameters/Performance/NETTYPE settings (VP-CLASS = NET)

This doesn't work for me. When I set NETTYPE parameter in onconfig, I can not
initialize shared memory - server doesn't start.

There is a bug in the NET VPs on the basic Linux distribution. You can
download a patch for this bug (#103414) get the "Informix Dynamic
Server, Linux Edition Suite CPU/NET VPs Patch.(Bug 103414)" download.
