SP4 mangled my environments for ORACLE, Teradata and Informix. I had to go and remain as SP4 for SQL Server 7. Scoping the the exe that this service references in terms of file and registry access seems to show that the compute rname/active computer is being referenced from the TCPIP related configs in the current control set page of the registry. As such, I cannot work around my NT SP4 problem of looking for my machine as wotacampbelni.cognos.com which fails.
