We've been using Veritas NetBackup with our Sun Systems, O/S version 2.5.1 and Informix 7.24UC3. With NetBackup and onbar, you can Backup your database to Tape, and Logical Logs to the File System ... or vis versa, or both to disk/tape. And for the most part, Netbackup has been working rather well. The local support from the engineering department at Veritas in Orlando has been excellent as well. > > David Mann wrote: > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > I'm currently running IDS 7.3 and I am using ontape with a file for each > > > backup device.
