Just create a /etc/hosts.equiv file there should be a manpage in man4 describing the format but the simple format is: host user means allow remote connections from username "user" from hostname "host". That's it. Hosts.allow, hosts.deny, and hosts.lpd are used for other similar purposes. Art S. Kagel
