I was only pointing out that your frustration is not uncommon, to the point that a group of people actually wrote a book about UNIX-things-they-hate. Unfortunately the HW'folks haven't read this book. I've had similar experience/frustration in the past, and quite often if the basic display comes up I'm happy. And I'm sure you read the manuals too.
