Passing parameters into Informix procedures

Hope someone can help me with this. We have a Paradox front end app. that uses Informix as the database. I have a report that I retrieve data from the database using a stored procedure. The form that queries the database uses the execute procedure to pass parameters. What my problem is, is that I need to perform an SQL IN clause within the stored procedure with the values of the IN clause being passed by the paradox form. For example: the select statement within the procedure might read like this: SELECT * FROM tableName WHERE idNumber IN (variable). The variable passed into the procedure may contain a list of integers as follows: (32, 36, 38, 40) What happens is that Informix is translating the commas between the numbers within the variable as parameter delimiters. As a result I get a too many arguments passed into the procedure error. Does anyone have a solution to this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
