Hi, Our Infrastructure Architect came across Intel TSX(Transactional Synchronization Extensions). This is an extension to the x86 instruction set architecture (ISA) that adds hardware transactional memory support speeding up execution of multi-threaded software through lock elision, which according to various benchmarks, can provide large performance gains and throughput(4-5 times more database transactions per second) to other DBMS. Please see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transactional_Synchronization_Extensions. Does Informix support this instruction set on the latest Xeon processors? If anyone has used it in your environment, are you able to share with us your experience? Thanks, Edcel
