Unsupported or Supported

Hi All, We are migrating our code from Informix 32 bit to 64 bit. Our application uses _EFWindow structure. In 32 bit code it gets the size of the current opened window. In 64 bit it returns incorrected value. When we contacted Informix supported those guys replied that it is an Unsupported or Undocumented structure which shouldn't have been used. Please let us know if there is any equivalent structure which gives us the current window size details in 64 bit version of Informix. Thanks Vijay Kumar sending to informix-list

That means it can change at any time, and it is Informix's prerogative to change it, and you were not told that it would remain unchanged, so it didn't. If you wish to persist down this route, you need to look in the various I4GL headers (sqlfm.h would be my guess, but I am ready to be corrected) to see what the correct structure is for the successor to _EFWindow. Use that and you'll continue to be unsupported but you may actually be able to continue working. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2003.04 -- http://dbi.perl.org/

Try this: function window_size() define numrows, numcols smallint whenever error continue # Determine the number of columns... for numcols = 100 to 1 step -1 let status = 0 display "" at 1, numcols if status = 0 then exit for end if end for # Determine the number of rows... for numrows = 30 to 1 step -1 let status = 0 display "" at numrows, 1 if status = 0 then exit for end if end for return numrows, numcols end function
