Are there any preview papers covering this topic? I don't remember seeing them on the Informix site, but I really wasn't looking for it, either. The one truly unfortunate characteristic of MS SQL Server is Microslut's unrelenting promotion of Visual Basic. Billy Boy's love affair with this tired old hag really sickens me. We use the MS Office apps heavily here, and the integration with SQL Server is far better than with other engines--as one would expect. This integration, though, is VB based, which really disgusts me. We would love to use some OLE Automation functionality (which I am just learning about) to provide transaction services, but the easiest method I know of to write these modules is in VB4.0. Arrrgh! What I've seen of Delphi looks very nice, but again, their love affair with Pascal rivals MS with VB. Mike Lemon mdl@interpath.com
