Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hi there,
I am using the Informix JDBC-Driver Type 4 to connect from an Java
applet to a Dynamic Server 7.2 . Is it possible to make the data
transfer between the applet and the database secure? I mean using SSL or
something similar (S-HTTP, ...), which works fine on secure HTTP
connections? As far as I know, the connection between the applet an the
database is not the HTTP connection itself, right?
In advance thank you for your help ...
ciao Christoph
