Make sure that the O/S version on your media matches what you are really running (e.g. make sure that your product isn't for SCO UNIX). >I try to link a program like "fourglpgm.o" to "fourglpgm.4ge" using the >following command: > c4gl fourglpgm.o -o fourglpgm.4ge > >and receive the error: > undefined symbol first referenced in file > ftime /usr/informix4/lib/libnforms.a > >I remember that on an IBM AIX box I had to modify the c4gl script to include >BSD libraries "-lbsd" but this doesn't work on the Altos. There's probably no such thing. My guess would be to look for a libx.a (XENIX backward compatibility library) -- if you have one, it should have the ftime(). Any extra needed libraries should have been added to the compiler scripts by whomever did the port; if not's it's a bug (though workaroundable). >Alan Goodman Sr.Programmer/Analyst >internet: alan@dssmktg.com bangpath: uunet.uu.net!dssmktg!alan -- Alan Denney aland@informix.com {pyramid|uunet}!infmx!aland 'The preacher asked her, and she said, "I do."
