Be sure not to revoke priveleges from Informix and the database owner!) GRANT CONNECT/RESOURCE/DBA TO <specific users>; Now only the database owner, Informix, and those users to whom you have explicitely granted permissions can connect to your database. All of the users to whom permissions have been granted must also be valid users at the OS level, though they need not have a valid password if they are accessing the database from another host.
