The Devil, you say! ********** Assuming your master database is not running on a PC, Informix provided replication will not work, because Informix's replication must run on identical machines. Another way to to use triggers. Whenever an insert, delete, and update happen, a trigger can copy the info to all other machines. If you want to define the trigger on all machines, you will get into the catch 22 problem. YOU MUST HAVE A MASTER DATABASE.
