(While the mailing list is a *great* resource for those without >USENET access, it makes things kinda sticky.) No it doesn't. The email list doesn't *have* to include job postings. How many Americans in the Computer Industry don't have access to Internet News or the Web at home? (And if they haven't, how on earth can they even consider labeling themselves "professionals"). I think the email-list is a non-issue. >To create or expand the comp.databases.* hierarchy, would >take some more doing. > >First, you would need to create : >comp.databases.informix.jobs (the new list.) >comp.databases.informix.misc (general annoucements) >comp.databases.informix.engines(Database engine questions) >comp.databases.informix.tools > >comp.databases.informix would then go away. This is silly. We don't need all those groups. cdi and cdi.jobs would cover things pretty well. Informix don't even *have* any tools anymore, do they? This is silly too, even if there was a need for these sub-groups, why do you think that comp.databases posters are so much less intellegent than the rest of the Usenet community? comp.lang.pascal.delphi.component-writing has, pretty much, only got stuff to do with writing Delphi components (as an example). alt.binaries.sex.bestiality.hampsters may, on occasion, include the odd non-hampster picture, but I don't frequent that group and cannot say. >Then Walt will have his hands full.
