To all, I would like to find out how you can find out all the users that have been created and their privileges in the database. Is there a dictionary table where I can acquire these information? Also, can anyone recommend any good informix dba book? Thanks in advance. Ben

The table, in each database, sysusers contains database level permissions for each user including the pseudo-user "public" whose permissions apply to any user not explicitely defined there and roles which are used like 'public' to assign identical permissions to groups of users. Table level permissions are contained in the table systabauth and column permissions are in syscolauth. For permissions purposes synonyms and views are treated as tables. It is also possible to restrict users from one or more of a table's fragments which permissions are stored in sysfragsuth. In addition to this a user may be part of a role and assignment of roles to users is contained in sysroleauth. Permissions for stored procedures are contained in sysprocauth. > Also, can anyone recommend any good informix dba book?
