Why do you think IBM's developers who were supporting cloudscape/derby/javaDB have slowly moved on. Now you have Sun developers working on it for the most part. The OS model is to get your startup working, get a following, and sell off the code stream. Only now there are less and less companies who are in a position to purchase the code stream and continue to support it. The only people who can afford to do OSS are college students who have the freetime and by doing the work, enhance their resume. This is why IDS, sans marketing, has a better future as MySQL as an OS project. _________________________________________________________________ Life on your PC is safer, easier, and more enjoyable with Windows Vista®. http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/127032870/direct/01/
