We're a VAR for Oracle, Sybase, Informix, DB2, Solid, and MS SQL Server. We routinely switch from one to the other in the course of development and testing and have the clients for all loaded and configured at the same time (sometimes running at the same time). I haven't noticed any conflicts. Actually, I tell a lie. We had a conflict with the Informix CLI picking up expired license information from a trial of Intersolv ODBC drivers. Seems Informix is rebadging the Intersolv driver and it can't help itself but look for Intersolv license files and complaining that the trial is expired. Had to to a "deinstall" of Intersolv and reinstall the Informix CLI. But we had no conflicts between the Informix clients and Oracle. We're not using the ODBC for Oracle, but we are for Informix. Probably more information than you wanted and may not have answered the question, but hope it helps anyway.
