Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

I'm trying to connect Data Director for Java to an Online 7.23 server
running under Solaris. The Solaris server appears to support only
ontlitcp and shared memory, while the Windows setnet only gives TCP
options onsoctcp and olsoctcp. Am I missing something here?
If I snoop the ethernet interface, I see traffic from the PC:
puaa -> www.cdsinc.com TCP D=2055 S=1072 Syn Seq=5209878 Len=0 Win=8192
www.cdsinc.com -> puaa TCP D=1072 S=2055 Rst Ack=5209879 Win=0
puaa -> www.cdsinc.com TCP D=2055 S=1072 Syn Seq=5209878 Len=0 Win=8192
www.cdsinc.com -> puaa TCP D=1072 S=2055 Rst Ack=5209879 Win=0
2055 is defined this way in /etc/services:
ifmx_srvc 2055/tcp # service used by OnLine/DSA
and this is what's in my sqlhosts file:
ifmx_online ontlitcp www ifmx_srvc
No activity or errors logged by the Online server. Anybody have any
suggestions or hints?
