Dear experts,
I was doing a dbload into a table that has a unique key defined. I knew
that my imcoming data had a bunch of dups that would be kicked out to
the log files. So, in the dbload command I had -l /dev/null and also
1> /dev/null and 2> /dev/null. I noticed that my free disk space was
going down (in the middle of a vi I got message no more free disk space
:( ). But I couldn't find any large files, nothing unusal showed up
using "find" looking for large files. Then when the load was finished,
I was back up to plenty of disk space.
Does dbload write "hidden" files then pass them on to /dev/null?
Any other ideas?
