Hello, I'm doing tests before
migrating IDS 7.31 to 9.4 and I have problems with a 4GL program that goes
well with 7.31 but crash with 9.4
The error is:
Program stopped at "funcion_servi.4gl", line number 1894.
SQL statement error number -242.
Could not open database table (informix.z80afl_0068733).
SYSTEM error number -106.
ISAM error: non-exclusive access.
In line number 1894 the program is trying to create and index, like you can
see below.
function create_index_prin(f_nombre)
define f_nombre like systables.tabname
define f_prepare char(1000)
let f_prepare = "create index i1_",f_nombre clipped," on ",f_nombre clipped
," (tpo_aux,num_aux,tpo_com,pre_com,num_com,secuencia)"
prepare creo_i1_z80af from f_prepare
execute creo_i1_z80af
end function
Any idea why this happend with IDS 9.4 only?
PD : The database is running in a Solaris 9.
To
create an index in 9.40 AND 7.31 you need exclusive access to the table.
At the time another process had that table open, something that does not
normally happen..
In IDS 10 Creater Index does not require exclusive access.
