You have to create a valid Unix ID and password so you have to do the base system accounting. One method you could do is write a script that logs an attempted log in then exits. Make this the default application that gets executed when the person tries to log in. (Hint: Is the last argument of a passwd file. Usually a /bin/sh or ksh, csh , tcsh, cshe...)
