There where also some news from Informix posted reasently (on www.informix.com\\informix\\whatsnew.html) Otherwise I agree. Prior to the buyout of the company (Stanford Technology Group I think) MetaCube was discussed in comp.databases.olap and refered to as one of the best products for relational olap. After that I have seen no mention of it in that group. There was a post here in c.d.i. some time ago that Informix was planning to integrate part of MetaCube in Universal Server (in the form of a datablade I think). It seems Informix has been content with selling it behind the seens to their data warehouse customers, and not quite understod the size of the market, and that these are products of interest to most database users - at least if the price is right.
