Sondre Haugen <soh@it.tollpost.no>: * I am using IUS with the web DataBlade Module. * * I have this javascript code: * * <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> * * var snr = 0 * with (Math) { * snr = ceil(random() * 1000000) * } * </SCRIPT> * * How do i get the value of 'snr' into a <?MIVAR> -variable ???????? You don't. All the WebDatablade tags are expanded at the webserver side so there are no trace of these tags when the webbrowser receives the HTML code. On the other hand the webserver doesn't touch the JavaScript code, only the webbrowser does that. The correct way to do it is to do it in a stored procedure ie <?MISQL SQL="EXECUTE PROCEDURE mathshit(somearg)"> $(SETVAR,$my_webdb_var,$1) <?/MISQL> <!-- here you can use $my_webdb_var as a <?MIVAR> variable --> Hrafnkell - hkelle<at>nospam.rhi.hi.is
