This does not back up the logical logs. This archives the whole instance and sets
the database1 and database2 to unbuffered logging. "ontape -a" will back up any
logical logs that need backing up when the command is run. "ontape -c" will keep
running and back up each logical log as it fills. If you use "ontape -c", you will
have to dedicate a terminal to that program, and then use Ctrl-C to stop the program
when you want to switch tapes or perform an ontape archive.

This does not stop logical log backup, it stops logging for database1 and database2.
Think of it this way - "ontape -s" will always archive the whole instance and
(optionally) change the logging status of database(s). "ontape -a" or "ontape -c"
are the only way to back up logical logs with ontape.

The problem lies in how easily and dangerously we forget that
manipulating things is not the same as understanding them.
