Re: Blob updates through isqlperl?

It never rains -- it only ever pours. This happens to be the third time today I've seen this question, and although one of them was a direct-to-me email, the other was also on c.d.i. However, the outgoing posting may not have filtered through to your news system, so here's the info you need to find it... I get it to work out of the box with 7.21.UC1, but I'm using gcc throughout. If you're running SUNWspro CC, then there may be problems I'm unaware of... Also, use cc to created shared libraries, not ld. This is a Perl configuration option. >but am willing to put it a lot more >effort if I know its going to let me update blob columns. No improvement -- it's a feature-hole (aka bug) in Informix-ESQL/C. See the other article I mentioned above. Yours, Jonathan Leffler (johnl@informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h>
