At a previous employer, we ran a SUN 670, 256 MB RAM, dual processor, with terminal servers and LAT protocol. We were able to run 80 high activity users (telemarketing reps). Informix 4.1 SE and 4GL. We upgraded to a dual processor Sparc 10 (Model 412), 256 MB RAM, Novadyne Novaport Async connections to end-users and Informix 5.0 Online. Ran with 140 telemarketing reps.
