Calling Web Services from IDS
Well, it's been a *very* long time since I posted anything on this forum, but
here I am.
Can anyone point me to some resources discussing calling Web Services from IDS
stored procedures and or via SQL statements? I'm not looking to create a Web
Srevice in IDS but rather to call Web Services that are external to IDS. For
example, let's say a Web Store provider has a Web Services interface to
retrieve and set order status. I'd like to call this Web service from within a
stored procedure or tie the Web Service to a "virtual" table so I can do
things like:
select order_status
from order_status_web_service
where order_no = "123456"
or
update order_status_web_service
set order_status = "SHIPPED"
where order_no = "123456"
