Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hi,
When we wanted to update records in informix database tables attached to
MS
Access database using Q+E ODBC drivers, we got an error, "Not in
transaction".
After speaking to Q+E they said you have to have transaction logging ON if
you
want to use Q+E to perform update operations.
Is is true? Does anyone encountered this issue before? We use Informix SE
on
Unix.
Another sad thing about MS Access is, you have to have a unique index
present
on a table in order to update records. That unique index must have only
one column as a part of the key. This makes only 25-30% of our tables
eligible for update through this mechanism.
