[SNIP] Well, you said it started to hang when you made it public? How many hits is this table taking? Is it static or dynamic? Does your front end code lock the table at any time? Mark mentioned about logical logs? Doing a load statement from DBACCESS is a single transaction so if you are using ONLINE, that could have some ill effects? -Mikey
