I assume you are using IDS which does not use /tmp or DBTEMP for temporary sort-work files. It either creates them in the root dbspace, the list of dbspaces specified in te environment variable DBSPACETEMP if it is set, or in the list of filesystems in the environment variable PSORT_DBTEMP with PSORT_DBTEMP taking highest priority and rootdbs lowest. Look in these places. Keep in mind that the engine will clean up the tempfiles before reporting the error so you may have to watch carefully to discover what is filling up if you cannot figure it out logically. Art S.
