Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hi all,
I am writing a simple JDBC based application talking with Informix
database. I have written informix esql based applications in the past
where I can get the value of a serial field that was generated by
Informix
when I did an insert into a column (declared of type seria)l. This was
done by looking at the sqlcode.sqlerrd variable.
I was wondering if there is something similar in JDBC which will tell me
the auto-generated serial Id??
Thanks in advance...
Vic
