Form display problem with CHAR(1) fields

Hi all, I am having a problem with what I will call a "form field overrun" on one character form fields.... fields defined as [a]. When I do a Construct or an Input on the form, and a user type a letter or number into this field I get "double" the letter or number in the lower left corner of the screen. Something like "BB" if the user enters a "B" in the one character field. I have a feeling in may have something to do with the termcap setting, but i"m not quite sure what to look for. Any Ideas out there?
