Randomly lost information

Here at work we've been experiencing some information being lost (mis-indexed) randomly. We suspect hardware problems. Does anyone have any suggestions to ID this better? We had to drop and re-create the index in order to get it back in shape (bcheck reported the errors, said it fixed it but didn't). Thanks, Joseph
