Sybase thought so, and look where it got them! Actually, I do. Given that you can use any of the 4 main DBMS servers as your back end, the major cost of a new app is the human costs in programming. If you can deliver functional code faster with one RAD tool than another, this lowers both your absolute cost (less programmer hours) and time to market. One of my projects consumed over $500K in development. Even a 20% saving when you're talking this sort of money is worth going for. Peter Wiley
