Archive Output File Sizes Differ by 31%
Posted in 2008
I currently archive to disk after which the system uses a storage manager to backup the resulting file. Yesterday, the disk partition read as follows: /dev/archive10_lv 100663296 0 100% 32 100% /archive10 Today, without any significant blobs being deleted from the system, the same filesystem is: /dev/archive10_lv 100663296 31349088 69% 5 1% /archive10 The above has been the approximate amount of space remaining in the file system for the recent past. Does anyone know of an issue that could cause this significant swing in output file sizes (the archive is a single file)? Engine is 10.00.UC6 (Workgroup Edition). Take care. Clifton M.
