Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Consider 2 files:
j.ec:
$include j.h;
main() {}
j.h:
$ifndef j_h;
$define j_h "j_h";
$include sqltypes;
$endif;
Running "esql j.ec" gives:
esql: <$INFORMIXDIR>/incl/esql/sqltypes.h:
line 141: error -33062: Missing ENDIF
Well, naturally the only ifndef/endif pair in sqltypes.h is balanced,
contrary to the implications of the error message. Of course, it is
true that there is an outstanding ifndef from the including file when
the included file EOF is reached, but so what? Has informix now
decided that conditional inclusion should not be supported?
This construct worked perfectly in 4.1. Any workarounds for this
obnoxious BUG?
