Hi there!
The same problem happened to me using the instalation wizard
provided by Baan/Informix CD-ROM (Informix ODS 7.20 TE1 & BaanIV b2) for NT
SP3.
But the instalation guide gave us some configuration steps that had to be
done
after installing the database, before installing Baan. One of those was to
move the physical log from 'rootdbspace' to a 'phylogdbspace' and to change
the physical log size.
As far as I know the BaanIV c / Informix instalation is almost fully
automatic and was
supose to allow a quick database & Baan software instalation.
The default physical log size is a bug (a very serious one) and can cause
Informix to
stop if the physical log becames completly full.
For a 2Gb datadbspace, the recommended value for physical log is 100 Mb
(value recommended by Baan!).
You can change the physical log size in tree ways:
1 - Using ONMONITOR (if you have it!).
2 - Using the command line 'onparams'.
3 - Changing the PHYSIZE in the ONCONFIG file (the rigth file!).
This last options forces you to manualy restart Informix.
For manuals, you migth want to take a look on this site:
http://www.informix.com/answers/answers/english/ods.htm
It gives you access to a lot a usefull information.
Best regards!
