Re: ontape on remote machine

what we have is an operational NT-server "oserv" which has 2 tapedrives : tape0 is a 8mm DAT tapedrive tape1 is a DLT IV tape drive and a test NT-server "tserv" which has 1 tapedrive : tape0 is a 8mm DAT tapedrive I want to make a "ontape -s -L 0" from tserv on the tape1 of oserv. I have tried the following in the ONCONFIG oserv:/tape1 result : assert failed oserv:\\\\.\\\\tape1 result : the system can not find the file specified oserv:\\tape1 result : assert failed \\\\oserv\\tape1 result : archive failed , function open tape device \\\\oserv\\tape1 failed code -1 errno 2 oserv://./tape1 result : could not write archive tape What is wrong ?
