Not that doesn't have a host of other problems and limitations.
I think Informix could really differentiate itself by beefing up and
parallelizing dbexport/ import. 95% of the hard work is already done
in the engine, it would be a relative nit to get dbexport / import
jammin' in parallel. As it is, dbexport / import is essentially useless
as your DB gets bigger than a few GB, and that's being charitable.
Are you working with SAP perchance?? R3INIT/R3LOAD work very similarly
to how dbexport/import should work. That's what I use for copying SAP
databases (8500ish tables, 2500ish views, 11000 plus indexes, who knows
how many constraints...).
