Ah my old friend clown... Only you would want to waste your money on a fancy high performance car, only to be constantly stuck in trafic on roads where a minor pot hole will cause $$ damage to your facy ride. ;-) I'd rather buy a case(s) of single malt, and have a more practicle ride or just take a cab. I'm with the clown on this one. I'll drag-race him thru the Alps in a Gallardo any day. With the E-gear sequential no less - i read it's one of the few sequentials not to be spat on. Any sponsors?

Several of the '60's and 70's big front-engineed beasties could easily be used for a small boat, particularly the 400. And of course, you could tow your Barchetta :-) (Barchetta means 'little boat' in Italian, and has been the model designation for several small two-seater Ferraris, as well as other brands - my friend had a '49 similar to this http://www.bilavefur.com/myndasafn/Ferrari/1950%20Ferrari%20275S%20-%20340MM%20fsv.jpg with a '62 Lusso V12). Some Corvettes have been successfully used to tow boats, the most well-known being a ZR1 towing a ZR1-engined boat. My first Vette (a '63) had been used for a similar purpose by some drag-boat racer in Washington State. There were some marine hop-ups in the engine (cam and pistons). It was scary fast when not being used to tow. Having a tow hitch _was_ very useful when moving twice a year in college. > > > And does it run on diesel? > > Go wash your mouth out with soap, young man. ... Er, old man. I hate diesel, mostly because the high-sulphur crud sold in the US combined with generally poor maintenance and some smog exemptions make it a daily punch-in-the-nose for me. But I recognize that they tend to be very high torque engines, and in fact there are several being developed for serious racing programs, and several manufacturers are showing hipo prototypes. http://eng.ovsem.com/user/daimlr/2.shtml search for C-111-11 - during the '70s!
