This works on kornshell too. Be sure that your ^M really is a carriage
return and not a "^M" literal string of two characters. Also, make sure that
everything begins in the first column of your script. There may be something
strange with you shell. You may want to try using something other than "EOF"
as the marker. You might try something like "!!" instead...on the outside
chance that someone has aliased the string EOF to something else.
