Workgroup server access

Hi Folks, Any idea how I go about connecting from dbaccess on a unix system to Workgroup server on windows NT4.0. I have done the usual (sqlhosts, services,etc) but I get a 908 when trying to access the $INFORMIXSERVER(windows nt database), however I can access the unix database from NT.
